About us

Established in 2022, Lumisenta Film Foundation focuses on international co-productions for both fiction and documentary films. It aims for projects with high artistic value and strives to create a safe space for young, ambitious creators to explore their individual paths. Throughout the first year of its activity, Lumisenta’s projects were noticed by entities such as Sheffield DocFest MeetMarket, DOK.Incubator, ARTE, CNC, New Horizons Studio+, Millennium Docs Against Gravity, and received the Ji.hlava New Visions Award and several Jan Machulski Awards. Lumisenta’s current projects include: “Forest” by Lidia Duda (the recipient of the 2022 Ji.hlava New Visions Award for the most promising European documentary project), “The Slugs” directed by Katarzyna Gondek, participant of the Biennale College Cinema, and “Fakir” directed by Roman Ďuriš, supported by the Slovak Audiovisual Fund, Radio and Television Slovakia, the Czech Film Fund and the Visegrad Fund.

TEAM

Adrianna is a Lodz Film School graduate. She has been gaining experience working with Munk Studio, Lava Films and Kalejdoskop Film Studio. Adrianna is a co-founder and a creative producer at Lumisenta Foundation, responsible for developing the company’s own projects. The company’s first short fiction, "When the House Turns" by M.Ornaf, won J.Machulski Award for the Best Film, the Best Edit and the Best Direction. Lumisenta’s first documentary, "Forest" by Lidia Duda, won the most promising European project award at the 26th edition of the Ji.hlava IDFF. Adrianna is now working on international co-productions such as "Fakir" by Roman Duris (Czech, Slovakia, Poland) and "I Am One of Them" by Nadim Suleiman (Poland, France, Qatar, Syria). A lawyer and a photographer by education. Having worked at a law firm for fifteen years, she followed her heart and changed her profession to make and produce films on her own. Currently, she studies Directing at the Film School in Lodz. Her filmography includes short fiction films (“Mila Street”, “Puppy”, “Daddy Shane”) and short documentaries (“Lights and Shadowses”, “Follow Your Voice”). A co-founder of the Lumisenta Foundation. A graduate of Lodz Film School and film studies of Adam Mickiewicz University Poznan. Worked as co-ordinator at film and music festivals, e.g. Off Cinema, Transatlantyk, Montaz Film Festival, International Chopin and his Europe Festival. For two years, she was the manager of the rental of shooting equipment, where she also coordinated co-production cooperations with film producers. She has experience as 1st AD and set manager of short films and music videos. Also took part in the production of thematic documentary programs. She received a script scholarship from Polish Film Institute for a feature documentary film. At the Lumisenta Foundation, she is a production co-ordinator and administrator. In her work as a filmmaker, she values the opportunity to explore various fields and environments. Privately, she is an architecture photography lover and a caravanning enthusiast.

A film director, a creative producer, an enthusiast of poetry and Beauty. A graduate of Directing at the Deutsche Film– und Fernsehakademie in Berlin, the Wajda School and Culture Studies at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt ( Oder ). His feature debut “21:37” was nominated for the German Independence Award ( for the Best Film and Audience Award ) at the Oldenburg Film Festival. With his wife Aleksandra, he set up the Lumisenta Foundation dedicated to making ambitious and daring auteur cinema. Michał Ostatkiewicz founder / producer

Born in 1996 in Lodz, Poland. After two years of professional experience at Lava Films, he began working as a producer at Lumisenta Foundation. His involvement in many film productions, including "Cold War" by Pawel Pawlikowski, "The Hater" by Jan Komasa, "Never Gonna Snow Again" by Małgorzata Szumowska, "Sweat" by Magnus von Horn, "Unmoored" by Caroline Ingvarsson, and "Wolf" by Nathalie Biancheri, has made him one of those filmmakers who fully appreciate the complexity of the film production process. It is this belief that drives his desire to work with teams that foster an open and inclusive environment. He is currently producing the short fiction "An Orange From Jaffa" by Mohammed Almughanni, the feature documentary "Forest" by Lidia Duda, and the feature-length fiction "You Don't Know Me" by Michal Edelman.
